We Build Custom Manufactured Homes

Designing your dream home is an incredibly personal decision. The process involves taking inventory of what you love, what you don’t and your daily routine!

The task can seem overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be. We’ve laid out some of our top customization options for custom manufactured homes including flooring choices, built-ins, how to add curb appeal and everything in between.

Layout and Windows

Before we dive into the Pinterest-worthy decor options, let’s look at your layout. Consider your daily routine: are you a morning person who enjoys sipping a hot coffee on the deck? Or, would you rather take in a slow sunset with a glass of wine, blanket and a book? If you’re all about the sunsets in your life, let’s talk about adjusting the orientation of your home to maximize those golden rays.

You’ll also want to consider adding additional windows for additional natural light. Consider adding one of our obscure windows to your plan or even a bay window in your main living space!

Bedroom Count

How many bedrooms do you need in your home? Some families only need three bedrooms, but like adding a fourth for future flexibility.

Look at the Tundra for example. This plan is equipped with 4 bedrooms – perfect for a growing family. Some of our customers have turned the fourth bedroom into a media room to enjoy watching movies or playing video games together. You could even use it as an office if you need the additional space!

Build Without Limits

It’s important to note that we can look at options to reconfigure where the rooms are in your home. This is all a part of our home buying process with our experienced Housing Consultants. Customers have opted to move spare bedrooms to the opposite end of the home away from the master – hello peace and quiet!

Home Decor

Awaken your inner designer by selecting decor options that suit your personal style. This is where your Pinterest board can come in handy! You have the power to customize things like flooring, countertops, cabinets, windows and hardware throughout your home to get the right look.

Flooring

Flooring is one of our favourite details to customize. We’ve brought in a selection of durable options suitable for the toughest feet, whether they’re kids or paws! Choosing high quality linoleum is a great way to cut costs while still achieving the right look for your vision. We also have a wide selection of carpet options for you to view in our decor gallery.

Built-Ins

Our built-ins are for the organized at heart! The build-a-bench is one of our most popular options. Add one to your front entryway to easily store jackets and shoes, or add a broom closet to the end of your kitchen cabinets! You name it, and there’s a pretty great chance we can build it for you.

Another great built-in is our linen tower. A linen tower just off the master bedroom can save space in your walk-in closets and bathrooms by fashionably storing spare towels and bedding. In addition to storing spare linens, you can get creative and store cleaning supplies, toiletries and even office supplies in them!

Do you enjoy displaying photos and art work? Opt for a built-in art niche in your hallway to show off your favourite pieces. We have this option featured in our Pinnacle throughout the hallways – they even include their own display light for an extra pop.

Cabinets

Carefully selected cabinet colors can tie your whole home together. After all, they’re one of the first things you see when entering many of our open-concept plans. Before choosing the right profile and color, ask yourself what is important to you. Choose from classic options like our antique white wash, or opt for a trendy two-tone option like seen in our Tuscany.

Countertops

New to our decor lineup this year are the Bullnose countertops. What makes these countertops unique? The curved edges look similar to quartz but don’t come with the price tag.

In addition to this option, you can choose from multiple laminate and quartz options, too!

Think Green.

Are you the type of person who wants to have a ‘green’ house? Customize your home with features such as the Nest Thermostat, Moen water flow meter and solar vents.

Exterior Options

Now that we’ve designed the interior of our home, let’s explore how to add Curb Appeal with the right exterior. Here are a few important considerations when building your home:

Start at the front door. There are numerous choices with different glass inserts, sidelights and painted or standard white. Money saving tip – choose the standard white door and paint it yourself (just be sure you tape the edges carefully and choose the correct type of paint)!

Add dormers. Even if you are restricted by a tight budget, dormers are very difficult to add on to your home after it is built. Dormers and architectural details will truly enhance your home’s value and are best added at the time of construction.

Add accents. There are so many clever ways to use accents to enhance a home’s curb appeal and several accent styles to choose from. Consider ledgestone, shakes, accent boards around windows, pillars and coloured metal fascia to really show off your home.

Exterior lighting. Electrical work is another tricky thing to do after the home is built. Built-in pot lights, coach lights at the entrances and electrical outlets in the eaves for those Christmas lights are all things that should be considered. Cleverly placed lighting is a cost effective solution to add more curb appeal to your home.
