Winter in Morinville

Old man winter has unpacked his bags and made himself comfy. While this time of year may tempt you to stay inside, nestled up to a fire watching reruns on the hallmark channel, we wanted to share a few ways to stay active in town this season.

Skating at the outdoor rink

Game on! We have a family friendly outdoor rink in Morinville that is perfect for a skate with the kids or a round of shinny with the boys!

Ice fishing at the stocked ponds

Grab your rod and reel and head out to one of two stocked ice fishing ponds in town. Whether you head out on your own to enjoy nature or pack some hot chocolate and snacks with your friends and family, you’re guaranteed to enjoy yourself!

Cross country skiing like a pro

Do you love cross country skiing but wish you could do it closer to home or even sharpen up your skills? You need to check out the St. Albert Nordic Club. The club features programs for both youth and adult skiers of every level and offers a variety of youth programs, adult lessons, ski touring adventures and fun social activities.
