Choosing the Right Foundation

Arguably, the most important component of your home is the foundation as it ensures the structure and overall stability. Modular homes can be placed onto a variety of foundation styles –  the most common being: gravel pad with cribs and blocking, steel pilings and basements.

Choosing the best foundation for your home depends on a variety of factors, including but not limited to soil conditions, your lifestyle choices, climate and budget.

Many of our clients are pleasantly surprised to find out that any of our models can be placed on a basement. However, placing your dream home on a basement is the most expensive type of foundation we offer. Thus we encourage our valued clients to examine why they may need a basement.

Naturally, if you are in a architecturally controlled subdivision where all your neighbours have a basement, you will need to meet the architectural requirements. However, if you are looking for additional storage space or a little extra living quarters, we are seeing a trend where our customers are gravitating towards garage/shops with lofts to satisfy these needs.

Our professional team looks forward to answering your questions and guiding you through this phase of your dream build!
