What is a Modular Home?

The term modular simply describes a method of constructing a home - in large sections [away from the home site] in a factory.

The type of housing constructed is determined by the building code to which it complies.  Common housing configurations are single detached or multi-family, single level or multi-storey.

The terms modular, site-built and RTM do not describe types of homes.  All three terms describe alternative construction methods.  Therefore, types of homes commonly described as a single family, town-home, duplex or two-storey can be built using one of these three alternative construction methods or a combination of them.

Manufactured homes have many available options. Your dream home can be customized to include all the features and options you desire. The numerous architecturally designed floor plans offer versatility in your selection.  They include spacious formal living and dining areas for entertaining family and friends, cozy family rooms for more casual times, sun-filled morning rooms off island kitchens as well as elegant 5-piece ensuites.  It is your choice and there is a Jandel home waiting for you.

Today's manufactured homes have come a long way from those of years ago. Quality is assured through factory construction; there are no delays or imperfections due to inclement weather and labor or material shortages.  In addition, new manufactured homes carry warranties for up to 20 years and are built to building codes in the same way as traditional site built homes.

All of this leads to superior and much faster construction at a substantially lower cost.  Attention to detail throughout construction, as well as interiors coordinated by professional designers, gives every Jandel home the look and feel you've been waiting for.
